Ethan James
Ethan finally made his appearance on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 1:46am. He weighed in at 7 pounds 1 ounce and he measured 20 1/4 inches long. He has a full head of hair and big cheeks like his daddy! We're blessed to be first time parents and we're very appreciative of the support and encouragement we've received. Pictures of little Ethan can be found in the Photo Album.
We've received many outfits from my mom, my sister, and from our friends who came to Adriana's babyshower. But I am glad to say that this is the first outfit I bought my son. It's a University of Houston onesie that has the words "Little Cougar" printed on the front. I had to show my school pride someway. And for anyone who thinks I won't ever accept a UT or TAMU outfit, you're wrong. I'll gladly accept them. Ethan needs something to wipe his butt with when he potty trains!
This ultrasound pic was taken when Adriana was 22 weeks along in her pregnancy. The ultrasound technician told us that the sex of the baby could be determined by looking at this picture. We wanted to know the sex because we were excited to find out what Adriana and I were having; being first time parents and all. When the technician said that we were having a boy, I looked at Adriana with a big smile on my face and quietly made a fist pump motion with my arm. However, she tells everyone I almost jumped out of my shoes and yelled. Go figure. I took the technicians' word for it since she does this everyday at the clinic. But just to be sure, I politely asked if she could zoom in on the boy part! See if you can spot the little boy part in the pic.
