We took Ethan to his first Astros game on September 23, 2009. The Astros had a dismal season, but they managed to win this game against the St. Louis Cardinals 2 - 0. The thing I will remember most about this game is how Ethan managed to get a foul ball, a t-shirt, a plush logo ball, and another game ball (between innings) given to him in his very first game! Not to mention that he ended up on the big screen when I held up the sign too! I have been going to Astros games for the past 18+ years and have yet to manage to catch a foul ball or get a game ball. Ethan is our good luck charm I guess!

 

September, 16, 2009 -- We dedicated Ethan at our church this evening. It was a very special moment for us and one that we will never forget because this happened on the day of our 3rd wedding anniversary. We both consider this a great anniversary gift. As parents, we promise to love God, and do whatever is in our power to raise Ethan in God's ways. Not only will we pray for Ethan, but we will pray with Ethan and teach him to read God's word.

 

During the service, each family took turns going on stage to present their baby. The Pastor said a few kind words including the meaning of the child's name. Adriana's dad and sister were in attendance along with good friends Andrea, Tyrone, Kim, and Jennifer. Many thanks for coming out and showing your support. My parents and Adriana's mom were not able to make it because they were ill at the time.
